John officially launched TheChristianDollar.com on January 1st, 2010 with the intention to provide an excellent financial resource for biblically-minded individuals and families. Influenced heavily by Dave Ramsey, John started researching how he might better handle his money and help others in the process.

Courtney Frainee
Courtney helps John as a co-editor and encourager in his endeavors at The Christian Dollar. She occasionally posts articles for The Christian Dollar and is working on her nursing degree.
Courtney loves cooking delicious meals, spending time with family, and shopping fashionably yet smart!

Chuck is a personal finance writer at RealManMoney.com and talks frequently about what it means to be a Godly man in this sometimes difficult world.
At age 38, Chuck became “sick and tired of being sick and tired.” He transformed his life by taking responsibility and changed his family’s financial future. Chuck wants to inspire a new generation of Real Men, and help by giving them purpose and direction.

Briana is a 20 year old newlywed who became an Internet entrepreneur after facing a layoff. She’s now working on her financial independence one step at a time, and documents her progress on 20andEngaged.com.
She was baptized in March 2004, and turns to the Bible to get her through her day to day challenges. She looks forward to incorporating her faith with her writing about per

Bethany Hartman
Bethany is a personal finance writer at In Jars of Clay and works in the credit union industry. She is also Secretary at the small Baptist church she grew up in. Bethany advocates for children in poverty with Compassion International, and believes that if God has your wallet, he definitely has your heart.
Bethany knows that if you want to accomplish something, you have to keep your eyes on the end goal. “Focus on Christ, and your path will become straight.”

Austin Tidmore

Austin is a personal finance writer at What It’s Costin’ with Austin where he regularly shares about his family budget and debt reduction accomplishments. He shares the fine details of his budget to the benefit of others as they seek wise financial spending and allocations.
Austin has felt the call of the Holy Spirit since he was 9 years old, and has been a Christian ever since. Although not perfect, he has felt the grace and forgiveness of God in his life.

JC Reagan

JC is an avid reader and writer over at God, My Weird Spouse, and I where he writes about life, marriage, and God’s place in all of it.
He believes that being weird is a good thing in this world of mediocrity. He and his wife want to stick out for strong marriages and the priority of God, as well as a Biblical worldview.
JC is currently working on Dave Ramsey’s 7 Baby Steps and will regularly share on The Christian Dollar regarding everything he learns along the way.

Holly Jenkins

Holly simply loves writing. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2011 with a major in English and double minors in Spanish and Writing.
She’s newly married and enjoys playing sports, cooking, baking, reading, and playing board games with her husband.
Holly also enjoys writing of all kinds including children’s books, magazine articles, and novels. She currently manages three blogs about her faith, style, and cooking.

What Benefits Do Contributors Enjoy?
Contributors, unlike guest writers, enjoy the following benefits:
- Immediate access to The Christian Dollar WordPress pane so they can submit their articles as soon as possible. Their articles get pushed to the front of the line and are more quickly published. First written, first published! John reserves the right to publish his own articles first as seen fit to time articles with important financial news and updates about The Christian Dollar.
- Up to 3 links back to their website within the body of their articles. More traffic!
- A biography section on the Contributors page (this page) with links to their website and social media locations around the web (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
What Requirements Must Contributors Follow?
- They must be committed Christians who believe in the Bible as the authoritative word of God.
- Articles must be between 500 and 1,000 words.
- Keep in mind that if a contributor doesn’t submit an article for an extended period of time, such as at least once every two months, they may lose their contributor status and be removed from the Contributors page.
How Do You Become a Contributor?
Regular contributors are handpicked by The Christian Dollar based on two factors: the quality of their work and the showcase of work on their current website. One or both of these factors can make it more likely for you to be chosen as a contributor.
