Can you feel it welling up inside of you? It’s that feeling that you’re on the brink of discovering a new financial plan; something that will change everything.
The very fact that you’re reading financial blogs indicates you are a person of intention. You don’t want life to happen to you, you want to happen to life.
When it comes to finances, maybe you’ve been a bit lax. You haven’t kept a tight budget and haven’t been as frugal as you would like.
I understand where you are at. My financial 180° happened late 2008 when I realized that relying solely on trying to time the stock markets was not a plan for success. I got stuck in one way of thinking and didn’t take the time to analyze all of my money habits.
How do I begin my financial 180°?
Excellent question. It begins with a recognition of financial turmoil in your life. That is the first step. You must acknowledge the fact that there are areas in your life that need work. How can a blind person see the disaster ahead? Gain vision, and project what might happen to you if you don’t change your path.
I’m ready to change, now what?
Your financial turnaround is now 90% complete. Your recognition of a need to change has gotten you much closer to that change than you can imagine. Now it is time to start on the inevitable path to financial freedom. That is the second step. Read books on finance, visit financial blogs to gain personal perspectives, and always be seeking out helpful people who know what they’re doing. Stay up to date on your resources and be ever-learning. In no time, you’ll have the knowledge to proceed forward with your new financial 180°.
I’ve been reading books and learning, but it hasn’t helped much. What could I possibly be missing?
Perhaps its accountability and conversation. One way communication is not always the best method. You need someone to bounce thoughts off of. That’s what I’m here for! I want you to feel free to email me with your thoughts and needs. Let me help you. If you send me a financial question, I’d be happy to post it as a topic on the blog with your permission. Start the conversation! That’s the third step!
So what is the Financial 180° anyway?
It is a departure from all of your money habits that have been weighing you down. Dive in, explore, and learn something new! We’ll get you moving in the right direction in no time. Challenge your notion that debt is a tool. Challenge the idea that credit matters. Challenge your financial automations. You can do this.
